COLOMBO -- At least 13 people were killed and more than 200 injured on Sunday when the main train from the hill town of Kandy to Colombo jumped the track, state radio reported. About five cars derailed near Rambukkana, about 70 km (43 miles) northeast of Colombo, the radio said. It said 13 people were killed and more than 200, including four Britons, were injured. No other details were given. Train accidents are not common in Sri Lanka, although a man apparently committed suicide last week by throwing himself in front of the same train, Reuters reported.
